Family of crash victim sets up address for supporters

The family of Newport Beach resident Brian Campos, who was killed last week in a car accident on Superior Avenue, has designated an address for people who wish to express their condolences.
Well-wishers can send cards or letters to the Camposes at: Pamela Campos, 1048 Irvine Ave., Newport Beach, CA 92660 P.O. Box 347. The address does not permit flower deliveries, family members said.
Campos, 22, died early Thursday when he crashed his fixed-up 1974 Ford Bronco into the center diver on southbound Superior Avenue near Ticonderoga Street. No other vehicles were involved in the crash, and there were no passengers.
Police said speed did not appear to be a factor in the crash, and a toxicology report to determine whether he had any drugs or alcohol in his system is pending.
Family members said a celebration of Campos’ life will most likely held Aug. 31, his birthday, at Castaways Park in the late afternoon. The public will be notified when plans are finalized.
