Deborah Howard Lewis

1947-2008

Debbie Lewis of Newport Beach passed away peacefully

on August 12th surrounded by her family after a

long and courageous battle with ovarian cancer.

Born in Sierra Madre and raised in Tustin, she

graduated from Tustin High in 1965 and attended

Fullerton J.C., USC, and Cal State LA, obtaining a

teaching credential in 1971. After many years in the

Fountain Valley and Newport Mesa school districts

she retired in 2006.

Debbie was a wonderful friend, loving wife, mother and grandmother. She

is survived by her husband of 40 years, Steve, son Scott, daughter Kelly,

grandsons Freddie and Parker, brother Dean and his family, and brother in

law Bob and his family.

Funeral services will be private with a separate tribute to Debbie’s life

planned for later this month. The family is forever grateful for the caring

support, telephone calls and cards they have received over the past several

months.
