MAILBAG:
On the Fourth of July, the parking lots are full, people are parking all the way up Beach Boulevard and Magnolia Street, lots of folks park in the Edison High School parking lot and the lot at Beach Boulevard and Atlanta Avenue.
Here come the vultures.
The Huntington Beach Police Department has several tow companies haul away scores of holiday visitors’ cars to the police-owned impound lots where, after spending the day and their money downtown watching our parade, they must pay $300 to get their vehicles back.
This makes one wonder what kind of a shady deal the police have with the tow companies? Who owns them?
It’s always about the money, follow the money. Sickening.
