A Huntington Beach workshop will introduce the public to the Marine Life Protection Act Initiative’s South Coast Project.
According to its website, the MLPA “directs the state to design and manage a network of marine protected areas in order to, among other things, protect marine life and habitats, marine ecosystems and marine natural heritage.”
The workshops are intended to solicit input on the MLPA process, specifically in the MLPA South Coast Study Region, which includes Huntington Beach.
The workshop will be from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Huntington Beach Harbor View Club House, 16600 Saybrook Lane. Call (714) 536-5486 for more information.
