Humane society has overflow of kittens, offers discount

With an abundance of kittens needing good homes, the Orange County Humane Society is offering the small felines at 25% off.

Pittbulls are being discounted to $100 each.

The Orange County Humane Society, 21632 Newland Street, Huntington Beach, is open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily during construction of the new facility. Call (714) 536-8480.

Residents may also visit the O.C. Animal Care Center, 561 City Drive, Orange. The facility contracts with 20 cities, where the animals come in faster than they get adopted and the euthanasia rate is significantly higher than that of the Huntington Beach facility.

The animal care center is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily, and stays open until 7 p.m. on Wednesdays. Visit www.ocpetinfo.com.
