Dailey, Wright to reunite on Yale volleyball team
Cat Dailey and Haywood Wright, both Sage Hill School products, will be joining the Yale University women’s volleyball team this coming season.
Dailey will be transferring from Cal where she spent two seasons as a reserve outside hitter. She was part of the Golden Bears team that reached the Final Four this past season with 31 kills, 21 service aces and 66 digs.
As a Sage Hill senior, Dailey was named Female Athlete of the Year and led the volleyball team to a CIF Southern Section Division IV title.
Wright is a two-year letterwinner for the Yale women’s basketball team, after twice earning second-team All-CIF recognition as a senior. As a 6-foot-2 middle blocker, she’s expected to add a presence at the net.
Dailey and Wright join a program that has a very promising 2008 season with 12 returning letterwinners and five newcomers.
Yale is scheduled to open its season Sept. 12 against Boston College.
