Local youth and high school-aged players will have the opportunity to develop their game during upcoming summer football camps staged under the direction of Laguna Beach High football Coach Jonathan Todd and his staff. All camps will be held at Guyer Field on the Laguna Beach High campus.
Youth Football Skills Camps are two no-contact camps designed to teach players blocking and tackling, as well as offensive, defensive and special teams position skills. Each day’s camp will culminate with no-contact flag football scrimmages.
The five-day camp is open to youth who will enter grades third through eighth in the fall and the cost is $210 per camper. This camp will run June 25-27 from 9:30 a.m. to noon. A three-day “mini camp” will follow July 14-16 and also is open from 9:30 a.m. to noon. Youngsters grades third through eighth are welcome and the cost for this camp is $128 per player.
In addition to the youth camps, a High School Summer Football Camp also is offered, beginning Monday. The camp includes weight training, speed and agility training and individual position and team training.
The cost is $341 per player and the camp is open to incoming frosh/soph and varsity players.
