POLICE FILES: Boys were reported scratching up vehicles

Pettswood Drive: Three boys scratching vehicles up and down the street were reported in the 9500 block at 1:10 p.m. Sunday.

Mar Vista Drive: A smashed car window was reported in the 6100 block at 12:31 a.m. Monday.

AREA 2

Baruna Lane: A 16-foot trailer was reported stolen in the 16700 block at 2:46 p.m. Sunday.

Beach Boulevard: A trespasser sleeping in his car in a parking structure was reported in the 17000 block at 8 a.m. Monday.

Florida Street: Illegal fireworks were reported in the 18900 block at 1:46 a.m. Sunday.

Keelson Lane: A residential burglary was reported in the 17300 block at 11:32 a.m. Saturday.

Redondo Circle: The front door of a business was reportedly kicked in, with shattered glass everywhere, in the 18000 block at 11:56 a.m. Monday.

Slater Avenue and Mayor Lane: A running car, stopped in the middle of the street, was reported at 3:52 a.m. Saturday.

Clay Avenue: A van was reported stolen in the 300 block at 1:18 p.m. Monday.

Delaware Street and East Utica Avenue: Someone reported hearing shots at 2:08 a.m. Monday, but the noises turned out to come from bottle rockets, according to police.

Hyannis Port Drive: Someone reportedly poured paint all over a car in the 9400 block at 1:16 p.m. Sunday.

Newland Street and Atlanta Avenue: Someone reported that seven newly-planted trees were knocked over at 1:43 p.m., but six were salvageable, according to police reports.

Strathmoor Lane: About 10 high-school aged teens were reportedly jumping on the bars of a batting cage and damaging netting in the 21100 block at 3:21 p.m. Monday, but the teens told police they were only retrieving a lost ball.

Bunting Circle: Grand theft was reported in the 10300 block at 2:58 p.m. Monday.

Garfield Avenue: Petty theft was reported in the 9000 block at 6:12 p.m. Monday.

Bushard St. and Warner Avenue: An incident of road rage was reported at 4:42 p.m. Saturday.

Everest Circle and Heil Avenue: Vandalism was reported at 10:39 a.m. Friday.

La Capilla Avenue: A disturbance involving minors was reported in the 9700 block at 4:35 p.m. Monday.

La Perla Avenue: A residential burglary was reported in the 10500 block at 5:02 p.m. Friday.

Newhope Street: Shoplifting was reported, with the suspect in custody, at Costco in the 17900 block at 6:29 p.m. Saturday.

Orange Street: A residential burglary was reported in the 17100 block at 7:59 p.m. Sunday.

Warner Avenue: Grand theft was reported in the 11300 block at 7:06 p.m. Sunday.
