In an orgy of self-destructive behavior, Surf City Republicans severed their surfing ties in this June’s primary to vote for Dana Rohrabacher in support of his proposal to eliminate Trestles and Old Man’s surfing beaches. Rohrabacher last came to surfers’ rescue by asking the Orange County Health Department to stop testing the waters in Huntington Beach, as the testing results were causing many ocean swimmers to come down with ear and nose infections.
Hopefully, all surfers will get it together by November and vote for a Democrat, a Green, a Libertarian, anything but Rohrabacher.

Vote for someone who gets things done
Now that the primaries are over, it is time to focus on the standard-bearers for the main parties in the 46th Congressional District. The question voters must face is who will be the best representative for the district’s constituents.
Do we want someone who takes on everyone but does nothing, or do we want someone who rallies everyone to get things done? The difference is obvious. Dana Rohrabacher just tilts at windmills, while Debbie Cook would use them to make energy.
