Jury recommends death for white supremacist gang member
A jury voted to impose the death penalty on a white supremacist gang member from Huntington Beach this week.
Michael Allen Lamb, 34, was convicted last July of murder, conspiracy to commit murder, murder for the benefit of a criminal street gang, being a felon and possessing a firearm, carrying a firearm as an active gang member, street terrorism, and attempted murder of a peace officer, as well as several special circumstances that enhance the sentence.
Lamb shot a fellow member of his white supremacist gang in retaliation for his talking about its secrets on TV news, prosecutors said.
He and another member, Jacob Anthony Rump, shot founding gang member Scott Miller in the back of the head, then used the same gun to fire at Anaheim police officers who tried to arrest them three days later.
It was the second penalty hearing for Lamb; the first led to a deadlocked jury.
Lamb will be sentenced by the judge Aug. 22.
