“Bub-A-Que” set for Saturday at Angel Stadium

The Brian Kapko Foundation will be having its fourth annual “Bub-A-Que” get-together on Saturday, at the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim baseball game against the Atlanta Braves.

Family and friends of Brian “Bubba” Kapko, a former Estancia High football player and big Angels fan who was killed in a car accident in 2005, will be tailgating near Angel Stadium at 3 p.m. prior to the game.

The cost for the event is $50 and is tax-deductible. The donation includes a lower reserved box ticket to the Angels game Saturday at 6:05 p.m., a Bub-A-Que shirt and food from the Newport Rib Co. prior to the game.

All money raised benefits the Brian Kapko Foundation, which has financially supported community activities like the 2008 Costa Mesa Community Run and has also benefited the athletic programs at Estancia High.

There are 150 tickets available, but last year was a sellout. The donation page can be accessed at www.bubbakapko.com. Be sure to specify shirt sizes for each person in your group.
