Lacrosse teams thank Newport councilman

The Orange County Lacrosse Organization honored Newport Beach Councilman Keith Curry on Saturday for his efforts to locate playing fields in Newport Beach for girls lacrosse.

Curry recently worked with the Newport Ridge Community Assn. to help provide playing space at Newport Ridge Park.

“Councilman Curry is a great friend of girls lacrosse. Without his help, we would not have been able to find playing space in Newport Beach,” said lacrosse league organizer Lambert Forman. The league officially named Curry a “Super Lacrosse Fan” for his efforts.
