Church starts new series; journalist is first speaker
St. James Anglican Church will kick off a new lecture series with an appearance from Emmy-award winning broadcast journalist Hugh Hewitt.
The series, titled “Steadfast in Faith” will begin with a talk at 7 p.m. Wednesday called “Is There a Clash of Civilizations?” at the church, 3209 Via Lido. Hewitt, a professor of constitutional law at Chapman University, also has a nationally syndicated radio show which is heard by 2 million listeners in more than 120 cities every weekday afternoon.
The series will continue 7 p.m. June 25 with a lecture by broadcast veteran Warren Duffy titled “Who are the 2008 Nicolaitans?”
Both lectures will be preceded by a complimentary light supper served at 6 p.m. A free-will offering will be taken at the talks. For more information, call (949) 675-0210 or visit www.stjamesnb.org.
