Wyndham offers sale on 50 same-sex marriages

In honor of the Supreme Court of California’s recent ruling rejecting the state’s ban on gay marriage, the Wyndham Orange County hotel in Costa Mesa is offering the first 50 same-sex couples to book weddings at the hotel a 50% discount.
The deal was made by General Manager Tom Smalley, who said he wants to give same-sex couples a venue other than a living room or backyard to have their nuptials.
“I created this package for couples who might otherwise feel uncomfortable taking vows in public,” Smalley said.
The Wyndham has hosted commitment ceremonies for same-sex couples since “before it was popular to have gay marriages — yesterday,” Smalley said.
The hotel is near the Orange County Performing Artscenter, and the discount offer expires at the end of the year. For more information, call the Wyndham at (714) 751-5100.
