U.S. women’s polo team in OC

The United States women’s senior national water polo team will be hosting Canada in a three-game exhibition set starting today and concluding on Thursday .

Today, the women will be at Santa Margarita High, then Wednesday at the Commerce Aquatics Center in Commerce. The series concludes on Thursday at the USA Water Polo National Training Center in Los Alamitos.

All games will start at 7:30 p.m. and tickets are available by visiting www.usawaterpolo.org.

These three games mark the first international competition for Team USA since their return from the Good Luck Beijing tournament in Beijing, China where they claimed second place.

Since then the team took on local colleges UCLA and USC in exhibitions, proving victorious in both leading up to the Canada series.

Canada and the United States last got together in January when the Canadians came to Southern California for a three-game set.

The United States went 2-1 despite the absence of several veterans with injuries.
