Former Assembly speaker and San Francisco Mayor Willie Brown will speak and sign copies of his new book at 4 p.m. this Monday at the UCI Bookstore.
The event is free and open to the public, though parking at a nearby structure is $7.
Brown’s colorful career has included organizing the first-ever sit-in for fair housing in San Francisco in 1961 to heading the Willie Brown Institute on Politics and Public Service.
Brown will also address members of the Chancellor’s Club at the Daniel G. Aldrich, Jr. Society lecture.
