Hurley helps hire investigator

The Hurley corporation gave $25,000 to the Crime Stoppers organization Monday to add to the reward for information leading to an arrest in the case of former employee Dane Williams’ death.
The corporation had previously refrained from making a statement out of respect for the family, but provided this money with the family’s consent, officials said.
Williams, a marketing intern, went to San Diego in late January for a convention. After a night out with co-workers, he vanished. His body turned up miles away three days later. No cause of death has been determined, and no witnesses have stepped forward. The money is expected to go toward a private investigator. For more information, call KurenT Inc. at (310) 397-9025.
