RANCHO SANTA MARGARITA — Senior Fabian Matthews swept at No. 1 singles for the Sea Kings in their nonleague match Wednesday.

Chris Damion and Ryan Petyon each won twice in singles for CdM (10-2), ranked No. 7 in CIF Southern Section Division I.

The Sea Kings play today at Irvine.

FOUNTAIN VALLEY — Andrew Ayala shot two-over-par 38 to earn medalist honors for the Eagles in their Orange Coast League match Wednesday at Mile Square Golf Club.

Storm Hagen (40), Ryan Knapp (40), John Person (41) and Ryan Burns (49) also contributed to Estancia’s win.

The Eagles (10-3, 8-0 in league) play today against Huntington Beach at Mesa Verde Country Club.

SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO — Camden Nicholson shot two-under-par 34 to earn medalist honors for the Sea Kings in their nonleague match Wednesday at San Juan Hills Golf Course.

Taylor Keddington and Jeff Jones both shot even, while Connor Corrigan’s 38 and Tanner Trauthen’s 40 also contributed to CdM’s victory.

The Sea Kings (8-5) return to action April 14, playing against Back Bay rival Newport Harbor in the Pelican Cup at Pelican Hill Golf Course.

SANTA ANA — Travis Russell shot one-under-par 35 to earn medalist honors for the Sailors in their nonleague match Wednesday at Santa Ana Country Club.

Chase Behr (37), Erickson Klein (40), Steve Stoneman (42) and Mychael Clark (43) scored for Newport Harbor (6-4). El Toro improved to 14-1.

The Sailors play against Fountain Valley today at Big Canyon Country Club.

IRVINE — Junior Sarah Furgatch had CIF Division I automatic times while winning the 200-yard individual medley (1 minute, 2.40 seconds) and the 100 breaststroke (1:06.99) for the Sea Kings in their Pacific Coast League meet Wednesday.

Furgatch also completed two CIF automatic times last week, CdM Coach Doug Volding said.

CdM junior Kelsey Larson, who was competing in the 500 freestyle for the first time this season, won the event in a CIF automatic 5:12.35. Larson also won the 100 backstroke in 1:01.54, which was a CIF consideration time. Larson and Furgatch, along with Heather Van Hiel and Kate Berry were part of the victorious 200 free relay (1:44.26), which was the Sea Kings’ best performance in the event for this year.

Freshman Nicky Lagle won the 100 butterfly in a CIF consideration time of 1:02.40. Van Hiel won the 50 free in 25.46 to help CdM improve to 2-1-1, 2-1 in league).

The Sea Kings will compete in the preliminaries for the Millikan Relays today at Belmont Plaza.

Sage Hill pitcher Katie McKeon struck out seven in her complete-game win. Morgan Hembarsky added two singles for the Lightning (2-9), who will play host to Eastside Christian Friday at 3:15 p.m.

CORONA DEL MAR — Junior midfielder Adriane Knezevic scored four goals for the Sea Kings in their Pacific Coast League game Wednesday at Eastbluff Elementary.

CdM dropped to 5-4, 2-1 in league. The Sea Kings return to action April 14, when they play at St. Margaret’s.

IRVINE — Senior Mike Kidushim, sophomore Ryan Mix and junior Noah Molnar each scored goals as the Sea Kings improved to 4-0 in Pacific Coast League play Wednesday.

Senior Conner Pinkston and junior Casey Bush each assisted on goals for CdM. Goalie Andrew Noto made 10 saves.

The Sea Kings will travel to the Bay Area this weekend to play St. Ignatius of San Francisco, De La Salle of Concord and Marin Catholic of Kentfield.

NEWPORT COAST — Junior outside hitter Bayle Smith recorded 13 kills and three service aces in the Lightning’s 25-9, 25-19, 25-20 victory in an Academy League opener Wednesday.

Senior opposite Carl Hillgren had eight kills for Sage Hill (6-9).

IRVINE — Freshman Megan Kim ran the 300-meter hurdles event for the first time and won it with a time of 54.1 seconds during the Lightning’s Academy League tri-meet at Concordia University Wednesday.

Sage Hill, which finished second as a team, swept the discus event with Adrianne Wong placing first at 67 feet, 9 1/2 inches, followed by Marian Huang (58-3 1/2 ), Alexa Lloyd (52-0 1/2 ) and Soraya Heidari (49-7 1/2 ).
