Hairston makes 2nd team

Laguna Beach senior Marcus Hairston had another sports honor heaped upon him when he was named to one of the 2007-08 All-Division boys’ basketball teams.

Hairston was named second-team in Division IIIA.

The All-Division teams formerly were known as All-CIF.

Earlier this month, Hairston had been named the MVP of the Orange Coast League.

The senior point guard averaged 10.6 points per game and was among the top 10 players in the county, with a 5.2 assists per game average.

“He was a well-rounded player who played terrific defense for us,” Laguna Coach Bret Fleming said.
