BOYS’ SWIMMING
Millikan Relays
LONG BEACH — Corona del Mar High finished fifth in the event at Belmont Plaza Saturday.
The Sea Kings won the 200-yard breastroke relay in 1 minute, 52.87 seconds. Swimmers in the event were Michael Liao, Isle Anderson, Garrett Larson and John Kim.
CdM took fourth in the 200 backstroke relay in 1:44.09. Liao, Larson, Blake Terry and Kim were in the relay for the Sea Kings. Corona del Mar also took fourth in the 200 medley relay in 1:41.78 with Liao, Larson, Kim and Brian Schiefer leading the way.
The Sea Kings were fourth in the consolation final of the 6x50 freestyle relay in 2:20.82.
Corona del Mar finished sixth in the consolation final of the 400 free relay in 3:28.01.
TRACK AND FIELD
Triton Invitational
SAN CLEMENTE — Newport Harbor’s Brandon Kula finished third in shot put (50 feet, 1 inch) and Cecil Whiteside took third in the discus (158-3 1/2 ) Saturday at San Clemente High.
The Sailors were fourth in the 1,600 boys’ sprint medley relay, finishing in 3 minutes 54.62 seconds. Joel Betonte ran the 400, Bucko Theriot the 200, Ben Swift the 200 and Benny Ward the 800 of the relay.
On the girls’ side, Newport Harbor’s Cassidy Gayner was first in her heat in the 300 hurdles in 48.04 seconds.
Camarillo Distance Classic
CAMARILLO — Michael Taylor, Scott Figueroa, Murphy Hitchock and Michael Puncel won the distance medley relay in 10 minutes, 46.83 seconds Friday night at Camarillo High.
Taylor ran the 1,200, Figueroa the 400; Hitchock the 800 and Puncel the 1,600. Puncel finished his leg in 4:27.9.
Taylor, Hitchcock, Puncel and Alex Crawford finished second in the 4x1,600 relay in 18:31.20 behind first-place Ventura (18:31.02).
Newport Harbor’s Jake Dawson took second in the 5,000 meters in 15:24.48. Sailors Coach Nowell Kay called Dawson’s effort the best performance of the night.
Newport Harbor will compete at Esperanza in a Sunset League dual meet Thursday.

Championships
NEWPORT BEACH — Sage Hill School went 2-2 Saturday at Newport Harbor.
The Lightning ended the day with victories over Marina and Coronado of Las Vegas. They had opened the day with losses to St. John Bosco, 14-25, 7-25, and Arcadia, 21-25, 19-25.
Bayle Smith had 14 kills and Joey Booth had 12 digs and nine kills in the 25-15, 212-5, 17-15 win over Coronado, which had beaten Sage on Friday.
The Lightning defeated Marina, 23-25, 25-23, 15-9.
Sage Hill will play host to Costa Mesa Tuesday at 5 p.m.
