SCOOTER
Scooter is a 5-year-old miniature sheltie who is registered with the American Kennel Club and the American Pet Registry.
Scooter is accustomed to being indoors with her best friend, a Persian cat.
She gets along well with other dogs and small children, but gets protective of her home and needs to be kept back from the door when the mail is delivered.
Scooter doesn’t like to ride in the car, or be left alone all day. Sadly, she needs to find a new home as her current owner has a health condition that makes it increasingly difficult to care for her, according to the founder of the Community Animal Network DiAnna Pfaff-Martin.
Call (949) 759-3646 to meet Scooter by appointment. You can also see adult cats at Fashion Island pet adoptions sponsored by Russo’s Pet Experience Saturday and Sunday from noon to 4 p.m.
Russo’s Pet Experience dog and cat collars are still available, in all sizes and many colors. Donate $5 and get a collar or $10 for a leash, and meet local Girl Scout volunteers each weekend through March 16.
To volunteer your time, call (949) 533-0411. To make a donation, mail checks — referenced with tax ID No. 33-0971560 — to Community Animal Network, P.O. Box 8662 Newport Beach, CA, 92658.
