Take a ride into literary world with Reader’s Rally
The Orange County Public Library will host the second annual Reader’s Rally from March 1-29, encouraging members of the community to visit local branches in their area.
A passport will be issued to each participant, along with a calendar of events for each branch.
Monthly activities will include story time, crafts and a coloring contest for children.
Adults will have an opportunity to attend book discussions, classes and demonstrations on a variety of topics.
For every three branches visited, guests will be entered in a drawing.
The rally will conclude with the Literary Orange 2008 event from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. April 5 at the Hyatt Regency Orange County, 11999 Harbor Blvd., Garden Grove.
Hosted by the Orange County Public Library, UCI Libraries and California Center for the Book, Literary Orange 2008 brings together members of the community and an award-winning panel of authors.
Tickets are $75 and include a continental breakfast and sit-down lunch. For more information, call (949) 855-3555 or go to www.literaryorange.org.
