Christ Lutheran School will close the textbooks for 45 minutes, and open children’s hearts and minds to the lessons of Martin Luther King Jr. Feb. 28 for an assembly in honor of the civil rights hero.
Presented by Mobile Ed Productions Inc. of Michigan, the assembly will chronicle King’s life from his middle-class roots using education and reading as springboards to becoming an advocate for equality and peace.
Characters will travel through time to gain insight into King’s life, teaching the children lessons through song, dance, monologues and poetry.
