LIONS HONOR MEMBERS
The Newport Beach Hawaiian Lions club recently honored member John Kasell by making a donation to the City of Hope Memorial Foundation in memory of his father, Don Herbert, also known as Mr. Wizard of national television fame who lost his battle with cancer in 2007. Donations made by club members were also sent to “Lions in Sight” and “Bud Jensen Fellowship,” honoring club president Sally Nockold.
The club meets on the second Tuesday of each month for dinner at the Balboa Bay Club, according to Nockold. The club is planning a bus trip for members, a fundraiser for Prostate Cancer Research and support of families of deployed Military. For more information contact Nockold at (949) 644-6105.
WORTH REPEATING
