Laguna teams grace weekly CIF-SS polls
Four Laguna Beach High winter sports teams continue to be ranked in their respective CIF Southern Section polls.
The biggest jump in the polls came from the Laguna girls’ basketball team, which came in tied for the No. 10 spot with St. Anthony of Long Beach in the Division IV-AA poll. The Breakers were ranked 14th in the previous week’s poll.
Also holding down top 10 rankings were the Laguna girls’ water polo team (No. 3) and boys’ basketball team (No. 8).
The Laguna boys soccer team dropped out of the Division III poll after being ranked seventh last week.

Division II poll: 1. Dos Pueblos; 2. Villa Park; 3. Laguna Beach; 4. Santa Barbara; 5. Agoura; 6. Palos Verdes; 7. Mira Costa; 8. Ventura; 9. Dana Hills; 10. Tesoro.
Girls’ Basketball
Division IV-AA poll: 1. St. Mary’s Academy; 2. Bell-Jeff; 3. New Roads; 4. Costa Mesa; 5. Arrowhead Christian; 6. St Margaret’s; 7. Mesa Grande Academy; 8. Sage Hill; 9. Calvary Chapel (Santa Ana); 10T. Laguna Beach, St. Anthony; 12. Liberty Christian; 13. Saddleback Valley Christian; 14. La Quinta; 15. St. Matthias; 16. Whitney.
Boys’ Basketball
