IRVINE — Junior forward AJ Rome scored an unassisted goal from about 20 yards out with two minutes left to lift the Sea Kings to the Pacific Coast League victory Thursday at Las Lomas Community Park.
Freshman goalie Lindsey Luke recorded three saves for Corona del Mar (9-6-3, 2-2-0 in league).

NEWPORT COAST — Freshman Megan Kim scored a goal and delivered an assist for the Lightning in their Academy League home game Thursday.
Kim’s goal came in the 33rd minute and was assisted by sophomore Jordan Team.
In the 43rd minute, senior Sara Montazami scored on Kim’s assist. Four minutes later, senior Jules McLaughlin connected for an unassisted goal and senior Danielle Goodman closed out the scoring with an unassisted goal in the 56th minute.
Sophomore goalie Nikta Lotfian recorded two saves for Sage Hill (7-7-2, 4-0-1 in league).
Estancia 1, Laguna Beach 1
COSTA MESA — Senior Stacy McDaniels converted a penalty kick 12 minutes into the second half to finalize the scoring in the Orange Coast League game Thursday at Estancia.
McDaniels cashed in after senior Jennifer Thomas was pulled down in the 18-yard box, prompting the penalty kick.
Sophomore goalie Allyson Wallace had three saves and freshman Erin O’Neil earned praise from Estancia Coach Steve Crenshaw for her continued outstanding play at both stopper and in the midfield.
Estancia (8-6-3, 1-0-2 in league) maintains its hold on first place, heading into Tuesday’s league rematch with cross-town rival Costa Mesa, at Estancia at 3 p.m.

NEWPORT COAST — Jamie McGee finished with 16 points and Connor Rose added 10 for the Lightning in the Academy League game Thursday night.
Sage Hill (6-13, 2-3 in league) plays host to Capistrano Valley Christian Saturday at 7:30 p.m.

NEWPORT COAST — The host Lightning couldn’t convert on some last-minute opportunities to take the lead in the Academy League contest Thursday.
Tierney Danner and Stephanie Garrison scored 14 and 11 points, respectively, for the Lightning, ranked No. 10 in CIF Southern Section Division IV-AA, who fell to 11-7, 3-2 in league.
