Two men robbed a Newport Beach liquor store and escaped with an undisclosed amount of cash Tuesday night, police said Thursday.
The robbers also stole 10 packs of cigarettes and several bottles of liquor while using what were described as steel colored, long-barrel revolvers to rob Papa’s Liquor Store on East Coast Highway, Sgt. Evan Sailor said.
The robbers were described as Latino, 5-foot-8, 140 pounds and speaking English with heavy accents. They wore dark-hooded sweatshirts and black ski masks, police said.
Police report the suspects’ vehicle may have been a black or dark gray four-dour Mazda.
