Registrar allows voters to participate while on the fly

Registered voters can cast their ballots early for the California primary — provided they’ve bought a plane ticket — starting at 7 a.m. Sunday at John Wayne Airport.
The airport has partnered with the Orange County Registrar of Voters to allow travelers to cast their votes between Sunday and Jan. 29. The booths, open from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday and 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Saturday, will be located in Terminal A across from Gate 9 and are only accessible to ticketed passengers or airport employees who have already registered to vote.
Regular voting for the primary will take place in California Feb. 5.
“By partnering with the Registrar, John Wayne Airport will offer Orange County passengers — even those with the busiest of schedules — greater flexibility to cast their ballots,” airport director Alan L. Murphy said in a release.
For more information, contact the Registrar at (714) 567-7600.
