Go bowling to help low-income families

The law firm of McDermott Will and Emery will host the third annual SPIN-Bowl to benefit Serving People In Need from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday at Irvine Lanes, 3415 Michelson Drive, Irvine.
Serving People In Need is an organization dedicated to assisting low-income and homeless people by providing financial assistance for housing.
The bowling competition will consist of 25 six-member teams. There will be a pre-game warm-up, two hours of bowling, food and an opportunity drawing.
The drawing winner will receive a 42-inch Panasonic HDTV and a $400 gift certificate toward satellite/cable service.
The $30 registration fee for the event includes shoe rental and a souvenir T-shirt. Event sponsorships are available.
