Boat parade winners to receive honors at dinner

Winners of the 99th annual Newport Beach Christmas Boat Parade and Ring of Lights will be honored at a dinner hosted by the Newport Beach Chamber of Commerce Jan. 18 at the Balboa Bay Club and Resort, 1221 W. Coast Highway, Newport Beach.

The evening’s festivities will begin with a cocktail reception and silent auction at 6 p.m., followed by a four-course dinner with wine at 7:30 p.m.

Guests can dance and enjoy the sound of the Bobby Perino Orchestra, which will play throughout the evening.

Travel packages and hotel accommodations offered in the silent auction will include a seven-day Caribbean cruise, five-day trip to Scotland and Canadian Rockies vacation. There will also be a drawing to win a 12-day vacation to Germany.

Tickets are $110. Proceeds from the dinner and auction will go toward the 2008 Christmas Boat Parade, celebrating its 100th anniversary this year.
