Saloon earns award for toy drive

The U.S. Marine Corps Reserves honored The Saloon in Laguna Beach with the Commander’s Award for outstanding achievement in support of the 2007 Toys for Tots Program.

For the third year, The Saloon’s annual Christmas party benefited Toys for Tots. More than 200 toys were brought by attendees in exchange for raffle tickets. A large number of prizes were donated by local merchants, with the top prizes being from the Montage, Sorrento Grille and Young’s Market.

Presenting the award to Saloon owners Michael Byrne and Bobby Doerr were Marine Corps Cpl. Adrian Fuentes, Sgt. Tyson McAlindin and Cpl. Juan Giron.
