Costa Mesa clinic endures after nationwide bankruptcy

Fig, a medical body-shaping clinic in Costa Mesa, has remained open even after the other 17 locations across the country shut their doors this month.

The company, which oversaw clinics in eight states, ceased operations Dec. 7 at all of its sites except the Costa Mesa clinic, which is independently owned and operated. Brian Stern, the president of Fig in Costa Mesa, said his clinic had no intention of shutting down.

“We’re in great shape and serving our patients and in very strong standing,” he said.
