BERKELEY — Junior Cole Bielskis scored the game-winning goal with 1:49 left to help the Anteaters advance to their first Mountain Pacific Sports Federation title game Saturday.
The Anteaters (14-1), the fifth seed and ranked No. 5 in the country, will play against second-seeded USC, the nation’s top-ranked team, today at 4 p.m.
Tim Hutten scored a game-high five goals and Brandon Johnson added three goals, while Colin Mello and Bielskis scored two each for UCI. Matt Garcia, the Anteaters’ goalie, had six saves.
Michael Sharf led the top-seeded Bears (25-4), ranked No. 2 in the nation, with four goals.

GLENDORA — Freshman forward Brian Helmuth scored 30 points to lead the Pirates in a semifinal of the Citrus Tournament Saturday.
The Pirates (2-4) will play in the title game today at 6 p.m.
OCC sophomore guard Shaun Engle added 23 points, which included four three pointers, to go with seven assists. He committed just one turnover against Chaffey’s tough press defense, OCC Coach Steve Spencer said.
Sophomore Justin Dang contributed 11 points and eight rebounds for the Pirates, who defeated Cuyamaca, 82-77, on Friday.

LONG BEACH — The Anteaters had four players in double-digit kills, but they suffered a 32-30, 33-31, 26-30, 31-29 nonconference loss to end their regular season at the Pyramid.
Kari Pestolesi, the Big West Conference Freshman of the Year, led UCI with 20 kills and added 15 digs. Lauren Kellerman posted 18 kills, senior Kristin Kelley had 11 and junior Shannan Homan had a career-high 10. Setter Taryn Robertson amassed a career-high 62 assists and Devon Sutherland had 22 digs.
