Orange County girl signs on with UC Irvine tennis

The UC Irvine women’s tennis team has received a national letter of intent from Stephanie Hammel to attend and compete at UCI.

Hammel, a senior at Valencia High, is a five-star athlete according to TennisRecruiting.net. “It’s always exciting to sign a top-ranked local player,” UCI Coach Mike Edles said. “Stephanie has an impressive array of shots, can hit with power, and is a very skilled doubles player. Even as a freshman, Stephanie has the ability to make an impact in our program in both singles and doubles.”
