Holiday luncheon planned Dec. 10
Laguna Beach Seniors will host their annual Holiday Luncheon and Membership Meeting at 11 a.m. Dec. 10 at Tivoli Terrace on the Festival of Arts grounds, 650 Laguna Canyon Rd.
Members of Laguna Beach Seniors and the community is invited to the event which features a luncheon, entertainment and opportunity prizes. The new 2008 Laguna Beach Seniors Inc. board of directors and its officers will be announced.
The grand opportunity prize is a one-night stay at the Montage Resort and Spa.
Tickets for the luncheon are $30 and may be purchased at the Senior Center office, upstairs at the American Legion Hall, 384 Legion St. Reservations should be made by Dec. 3.

Limited free parking is available in the city employee’s parking lot. No parking is available at the Festival grounds or Moulton Theatre lots.
LOCA presents a Taste of Art on Wednesday
Seniors can learn to make holiday keepsakes with Laguna Outreach Community Arts.
Three free workshops will begin Wednesday from 12:30 to 2 p.m. at the Senior Center. Subsequent workshops will be at the same time and place Dec. 5 and Dec. 12.
Workshops will teach paper making and casting (handmade paper), mixed-media card making, and foam etching. Students will have the opportunity to create unique and lasting holiday keepsakes. Beginners are encouraged to participate. Space is limited.

Bowers Museum trip offered in December
Seniors are invited to join an excursion to the Bowers Museum to view the exhibit “Mummies: Death and the Afterlife in Ancient Egypt, Treasures from the British Museum” from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Dec. 6.
The cost for participants 62 years and older is $35 and $40 for others.
Non-members must add $10 for membership dues.
Payment must be received at the Laguna Beach Senior Center no later than Monday.
Cost includes round trip deluxe motor coach transportation; admission to the Bowers and a docent-lead tour.
