OCC trails in the series, 20-17-2 and lost last year’s clash, 20-13 ... A win would not only give OCC bragging rights against its biggest rival, it would be only the second time in 10 seasons that the Pirates ended their season with a victory. The last time that happened was 2004, when OCC defeated the Rustlers, 37-32 ... OCC freshman tailback Kevin Ah-Hi is coming off a record-setting 48 carries for 266 rushing yards in the Pirates’ 20-14 win over Long Beach Saturday. The 266 yards were nine shy of the school single-game record ... OCC enters the game last in the 12-team Mission Conference in scoring (17.9 per game), total offensive yards (281.8 per game) and passing yards (155.1 per contest) ... But the Bucs’ defense is No. 1 in the conference in total yards allowed (288.7 per game) and passing yards allowed (179.9) ... Golden West is guided by first-year coach Nick Mitchell, who played and coached at Humboldt State ... Orange Coast plans to wear its Orange home jerseys against the host Rustlers, who will wear their green home jerseys, giving the OCC turf a pumpkin-patch effect ... Golden West’s four division losses are by an average of 6.5 points, including a 36-31 loss at Long Beach on Nov. 3 and a 52-49 setback at Palomar on Saturday ... OCC players have been motivated by a posting of video from last season’s loss to Golden West posted on the YouTube website by a former Rustlers player ...
