Transient woman run over 3 times

Police are still looking for the rider of a motorcycle that was one of three vehicles to strike a woman who died crossing Beach Boulevard last week.

Two cars and a motorcycle ran over the woman one after the other Wednesday evening, police said.

The Orange County coroner’s office identified her as Janice Michelle McIntosh, 58, a transient.

While crossing Beach Boulevard near Newman Avenue, she was run over by a 1993 Ford Explorer, then hit by a 2005 Chrysler PT Cruiser and a dark-colored motorcycle. A section of the street was closed down for several hours that night for the investigation, snarling traffic.

The Explorer’s driver, Daniel Muñoz, 54, of Huntington Beach, was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence, while the driver of the motorcycle rode away, according to police.

Witnesses told authorities he was about 5-foot-9, with blond hair and a medium build, wearing blue jeans and a white T-shirt.

Orange County prosecutors have no record of charges filed against Muñoz at this time in this incident.

The collision is still under investigation.

Police are asking for anyone who may have seen the collision happen to call (714) 536-5663.
