Local vendors proud of homemade toys at festival

It may seem a bit early but the holiday season has arrived in Orange County. And nowhere was it more visible than at the Orange County Fair and Exposition Center where scores of crafters gathered for the Sugar Plum Festival’s Arts & Crafts show.

With more than 175 hobbyists peddling gifts, ornaments, apparel, collectibles, flags and snacks to “Warm the Heart,” early-worm holiday shoppers had no shortage of cheerful items to choose from.

Every vendor proudly displayed a plaque authenticating that their work was handmade, not store bought.
