Enter favorite Newport Dunes photos in contest

Newport Dunes Waterfront Resort, 1131 Back Bay Drive, Newport Beach, will turn 50 next year, and is asking anyone who has visited the resort to enter their favorite photos in its “Picture Perfect” contest.

The 100-acre RV resort opened in March 1958.

Vice President and General Manager Andrew Theodorou encourages visitors to share the memories they’ve captured on film over the past five decades.

“We created ‘Picture Perfect’ to share these decades of happy memories as part of our golden milestone. We know our guests over the years have some great shots to share, so send them in,” he said.

The deadline for entries is March 31, 2008. Categories for submission include “Most Heartwarming,” “Best Family,” “Most Dramatic,” “Best Couple,” “Cutest Pet,” “Most Special Moment” and “Most Romantic.”

A panel of judges will select the winners, and prizes include free weekend accommodations, $50 gift cards to the Dunes’ Marketplace and more.
