IRVINE — All four of the seeded doubles teams from Corona del Mar High advanced to today’s semifinals in action Monday at University High.

The No. 1 duo of Hailey Hogan and Melissa Matsuoka will face No. 4 Kelli Feeley and Elizabeth Nguyen. The other semifinal has No. 2-seeded Karen Ishii and Lindsay Zotovich, last year’s league runners-up, facing No. 3-seeded Daniel Kaiden and Paige Polizois.

CdM’s four singles entries were eliminated.

NEWPORT BEACH — Sage Hill School sophomore Julia Blakeley is the league runner-up in singles, while Lightning senior Danielle Goodman and junior Sarah Choi teamed to finish third in doubles in action completed Monday at the Balboa Bay Club Racquet Club.

Blakeley was defeated, 6-0, 6-3, in the singles final by Hayley Miller of St. Margaret’s.

Goodman and Choi defeated a team from Whitney in the third-place match.

Sage Hill junior Jaclyn Smrecek finished fourth in singles and Dominique Moore was sixth.

CIF Southern Section sectional team championships

DOVE CANYON — Newport Harbor finished 13th with a team score of 438 Monday at Dove Canyon Country Club.

Sophomore Lauren Draganza led Newport Harbor with an 81, followed by sophomore Morgan Moody (87), junior Tiffany Kim (87), senior Kendall Horn (91) and sophomore Ali Thomas (92).

Draganza is the lone Sailor that will compete in the individual sectional Thursday at Diamond Bar Golf Course at 7:30 a.m.

The top four teams advanced Monday. Cerritos (391) won, followed by Torrance (394), Peninsula (394) and Cypress (394).
