The Costa Mesa Community Foundation will add to its many donations to community causes with its 2007 Community Grants Awards at the Orange County Fairgrounds on Monday.
The foundation annually awards grants in youth education and recreation, park enhancement, public safety and community pride programs.
This year, awards will go to the Ranch After-School Program of the Centennial Farm Foundation serving Costa Mesa youth, the Costa Mesa Police Department K-9 Unit’s narcotics detection training for the canine officer and handler and the department’s traffic bureau for computer diagramming software to enhance traffic accident investigations.
The award reception will be from 3 to 4 p.m. Monday at the Ranch After-School Program site at the Fairgrounds’ Equestrian Center.
