WOMEN’S SOCCER
IRVINE — UC Irvine has qualified for the Big West Conference Tournament which is set to start Friday.
The Anteaters (10-6-2, 4-2-1 in conference) are assured a fourth-place finish after UC Santa Barbara fell to Cal State Northridge, 1-0, Friday.
UCI could finish no worse than tied for fourth with the Gauchos, but UCI holds the tie-breaker advantage, having defeated UCSB, 2-1, earlier this season.
The Anteaters close the regular season Sunday at 1 p.m. against visiting UC Riverside.

Orange Empire Conference Championships
HUNTINGTON BEACH — Casey Satchell led the Orange Coast men with four goals in a 10-8 win over Riverside in the semifinals Friday at Golden West.
Jared Yocam helped with three goals for OCC (14-5) and Joe Krone, Blaine Gibbons and Sean Cruz each added a goal for the Pirates.
With the win, the Pirates will play in the championship game today at 2:50 p.m. against rival Golden West, who beat them earlier this week, 12-6.
The OCC women will play Saddleback in a fifth-place game today, after losing, 7-2, to Fullerton in their opening-round match Friday.
SWIMMING AND DIVING
UC Irvine/Lincoln Aquatic Shootout
IRVINE — The UC Irvine men won four events Friday with senior Eddie Erazo winning the 200-meter butterfly (1 minute, 48.61 seconds) and the 200 backstroke (1:51.20).
Freshman Miles Smith also won two diving events for UCI, scoring 319.4 points on the three-meter board and 283.85 on the one-meter board.
The UCI women won eight events with senior Chelsea Nagata winning the 100 back (58.30), the 50 freestyle (23.55) and the 100 fly (55.46).
Sophomore Lyndsay DePaul won three events for the Anteaters, including the 1,650 free (16:4528), the 200 breaststroke (2:19.00) and the 400 individual medley (4:18.94).
Senior Jackie Jones won both the three-meter and one-meter diving events, with 242.05 and 265.7 points, respectively.
WOMEN’S VOLLEYBALL
UC Irvine def. UC Davis
DAVIS — Freshman outside hitter Kari Pestolesi had 13 kills and 13 digs and junior outside hitter Lauren Kellerman added 11 kills to help the visitors in the Big West Conference match Friday.
Sophomore setter Taryn Robertson had 32 assists and junior libero Devon Sutherland contributed 16 digs for the winners, who improved to 18-8, 8-3 in conference.
UCI, which has firm command of third place in conference, received six block assists from sophomore middle blocker Chelsea Ellis, who pounded seven kills.
UCI posted an 11-4 advantage in total blocks and helped limit the Aggies, coached by Newport Harbor High product Steve Walker, to an .031 hitting percentage.
Davis, in its first season of Division I competition, fell to 3-21, 0-12.
Coach Charlie Brande’s Anteaters complete the two-game weekend road swing today at fourth-place Pacific.
Orange Coast def. Santa Ana
COSTA MESA — Jacqi Reed recorded 14 kills to lead the Pirates to a 30-25, 30-22, 30-19 Orange Empire Conference win Friday.
Jessica Roy added 10 kills, while Jenna Harp and Kayla Cutler had eight digs for OCC (14-4, 8-3 in the conference). Emily Lyon had 36 assists for the Pirates, who are ranked No. 5 in the state.
Gina Brock had 16 kills to lead Santa Ana (4-11, 2-9).
OCC plays at rival Golden West on Wednesday at 7 p.m.
MEN’S SOCCER
Orange Coast 0, Cypress 0
CYPRESS — Freshman Dane Fernandez had three saves for the Pirates in their Orange Empire Conference match on Friday.
OCC (7-8-5, 3-6-3 in conference) will play host to Golden West on Tuesday at 3 p.m., before closing out the regular season Thursday at Fullerton.
Cypress dropped to 3-11-5, 0-7-4.
