Church event to promote environmental friendliness
- Share via
St. Mark Presbyterian Church in Newport Beach is now a place to fight environmental hazards.
The church invites citizens to view its new “green” digs at an open house from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Nov. 17. The eco-friendly celebration will offer a number of activities and opportunities for community members. Children can enjoy a bounce house, face painting, crafts and games. Flu shots, light refreshments and music will be part of the event.
Guests can walk the 7.38-acre grounds, enjoy the new environment on their own or take a guided tour to learn about the new additions that are more compatible with the environment.
The church, which is nondenominational, is at 2200 San Joaquin Hills Road, Newport Beach. It got its start in 1962 and offers a number of programs for children and adults, including education and counseling. Call (949) 644-1341 or go to www.stmarkpresbyterian.org for more details.
