Costa Mesa fills committee seats; some remain empty

The Costa Mesa City Council filled 13 regular seats and five alternate spots on city committees Tuesday.
Council members reappointed Dennis Crane and Caryn Kallal to the cultural arts committee and named Ray Garcia an alternate; John Anderson was reappointed, and Colin McCarthy added to the Fairview Park committee; Christopher Bunyan was made an alternate and John McQueen reappointed to the historical preservation committee; Terry Shaw was reappointed to the investment oversight committee and David Stiller was named an alternate; Judy Lindsay and Patricia Linsky were appointed to the senior corporation board; and Bob Wakeham, Arlene Schafer, Phil Morello, Jonathan Zich and Cambria Briggs were reappointed to the redevelopment and residential rehabilitation committee, and Colin McCarthy and Mandip Samra were named alternates.
No one applied for the one regular and two alternate seats on the child care and youth services committee.
Most committee members serve either two- or four-year terms.
