Two arrested in ecstacy drug sales

Two Mission Viejo residents, one a minor, were arrested at 8:30 p.m. Oct. 16 by Laguna Beach Police officers following an undercover operation in a shopping center parking lot in the 600 block of North Coast Highway in Laguna Beach, according to Sgt. Darin Lenyi.

The suspects were taken into custody after they allegedly completed a drug transaction in the parking lot. Further arrests may be pending. One hundred ecstasy pills with an estimated street value of $2,500 were seized as evidence.

Jacob Gillmore, 24, was arrested on a charge of sales of a controlled substance and booked at the city jail. He was later released on $25,000 bail.

A 16-year-old boy was also arrested on suspicion of sales of a controlled substance, and released to his parent after booking. His name was not released because of his age.
