Famed Latin comedian, music at OCC celebration

Comedian Paul Rodriguez will appear at Orange Coast College’s “Dia de la Raza” festival on Sunday.

The second annual festival celebrates Latin music, dance, crafts and food and will run from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on the OCC quad with Rodriguez making his appearance at 5 p.m. It is sponsored by OCC and the college’s dance department. There is no cost for admission.

The Los Angeles-based Susie Hansen Latin Band and Mariachi Reyna de Los Angeles will be on hand Sunday, as well as the famed Ballet Hispanico of New York.

OCC dance students and faculty members will also perform.
