The Orange Coast College baseball program will conduct its second annual Pat and Phyllis Memorial Golf Tournament Nov. 6 at 10:30 a.m. at Strawberry Farms Golf Club in Irvine.
The event is named for baseball coach John Altobelli’s late mother Pat Altobelli and mother-in-law, Phyllis Reuber, both huge OCC baseball fans who died days apart in 2006.
Registration is being conducted in the OCC baseball office. Fees are $300, which includes 18 holes of golf, lunch, dinner, auction and raffle. Foursome specials are available for $1,100 and Hole Sponsor/Fouresome packages are available for $1,250.
Hole sponsors are being sought for $500 and those interested in dinner only may pay $50. Donations of any amount will also be accepted.
Golfers may register the day of the event, beginning at 9 a.m.
For information, call (714) 432-5892.
Proceeds will fund construction of a snack bar and restrooms at OCC’s Wendell Pickens Field.
Last year’s 130 participants helped raise $35,000.
