SANTA ANA — Olivia Schow and Annie Tomasek each finished with 16 kills in the Eagles’ 22-25, 25-15, 13-25, 25-11, 15-11 Orange Coast League victory Tuesday.

Amy Hartwell had 33 digs and Amanda Watson had 32 assists for Estancia (12-7, 2-0 in league).

Estancia plays host to defending league champion Laguna Beach Thursday at 7 p.m.

NEWPORT BEACH — Outside hitter Katie Lawler finished with 10 kills, five digs and one service ace in the Sailors’ 25-6, 25-16, 25-15 Sunset League victory Tuesday.

Alice Cope had four kills and one block for Newport Harbor (16-2, 3-0 in league).

The Sailors play for first place in league when they play host to Los Alamitos Thursday at 5:30 p.m.

LAGUNA BEACH — Junior outside hitter Whitney Crosby had five kills for the Mustangs in their 25-15, 25-16, 25-13 Orange Coast League loss at Laguna Beach High on Tuesday.

Kim Bjelland had 13 assists and Gina Decker added five digs for Costa Mesa (3-7, 0-2 in league). Laguna Beach is the top-ranked team in the CIF Southern Section Division II-AA coaches’ poll.

Costa Mesa plays at Calvary Chapel on Friday.

Oxford def. Sage Hill

CYPRESS — Lindsey Kish and Tierney Danner each finished with 11 kills for the Lightning, but Oxford won, 25-11, 21-25, 22-25, 25-19, 15-8, in Tuesday’s Academy League match featuring the top two teams.

Hayden Furey had seven kills for Sage Hill (4-11, 2-1 in league), which plays host to Viewpoint Thursday at 5 p.m.

HUNTINGTON BEACH — Ashley Peters shot a six-under-par 36 and was the medalist for the Eagles during a Golden West League match at Meadowlark Golf Course Tuesday.

Tess Hill shot a 47, second-best for Estancia (10-1, 6-1 in league), followed by teammates Jackie Crosson (50), Jill Beck (51) and Nushin Tasbihchi (58).

The Eagles play rival Costa Mesa Thursday at Costa Mesa Country Club at 2:30 p.m.

Laguna Hills 238

LAGUNA WOODS — Sea Kings freshman Monica Phan shot three-over-par 39 for medalist honors in CdM’s Pacific Coast League match Tuesday at Laguna Woods Golf Club.

Amanda Johnson shot 44 for CdM (5-5, 5-2 in league), and Katharine Hanson carded 45. Tess Crane shot 46 and Ashley Varner finished with 48 for the Sea Kings, who finished with their lowest round of the season at a par-36 course. Phan’s score was also the low for the season.

CdM faces Back Bay rival Newport Harbor today at 3 p.m. at Santa Ana Country Club.

COSTA MESA — Jennifer Johnston and Abby Koff swept their No. 1 doubles action Tuesday, helping the Eagles improve to 2-0 in Orange Coast League play.

Ellie Edles went 3-0 as a No. 1 singles player, remaining undefeated in league.

The Eagles (9-3) play host to defending league champ Laguna Beach Thursday at 3 p.m.

NEWPORT BEACH — The Sailors swept the nine doubles sets in their Sunset League victory Tuesday at Newport Harbor High.

The teams of Brittany Sowers and Kristen Kahn, and Natalie Small and Ariana Cernius, each won three sets for Newport (10-2, 3-1 in league). Allie Shea also won three doubles sets, two with Avalon Sigalos and one with Jeanne Frei.

Newport Harbor, ranked No. 10 in the CIF Southern Section Division II coaches’ poll, plays host to Los Alamitos on Thursday. The Griffins are ranked No. 6 in Division II.

CORONA DEL MAR — The Sea Kings won all nine doubles sets in a Pacific Coast League match Tuesday at CdM.

Sophomores Hailey Hogan and Azadeh Nazemi swept, 6-2, 6-1, 6-0 at No. 1 doubles for the Sea Kings (10-2, 4-0 in league).

CdM, ranked No. 3 in the CIF Southern Section Division I coaches’ poll, plays at Mater Dei today in a nonleague match.

Academy League preview

CERRITOS — The Sage Hill boys won the meet while the girls placed second to St. Margaret’s at the 2.98-mile Liberty Park course on Tuesday.

For the Lightning boys, Sean McElroy, Connor Rose and Lion Wintemute finished first through third overall with identical times of 16 minutes, 47 seconds. Kyle Simon was eighth in 18:21, and Alex Jimenez placed ninth in 18:22, helping the Sage boys win their second straight league preview meet.

For the Lightning girls, Cait Williamson placed first overall in 18:45, followed by Katie McKeon (sixth) in 21:16. Jackie Dion was ninth in 22:30, Megan Culberson placed 13th in 22:52 and Iral Brito was 16th in 23:04.

Next up for Sage Hill is the Orange County Championships on Saturday.
