Services for former Orange Coast College music professor and choral director Richard Raub will be later this week in Colorado Springs, Colo., school officials said.
Raub, who directed the OCC choirs for 23 years, died in his Colorado Springs home Friday following a long battle with leukemia. He was 74.
The Westminster Choir College graduate arrived at OCC in 1970 and was known for getting the best out of his singers, at times having them sing works rarely performed in Southern California.
A memorial, possibly a musical performance, will be conducted in his honor in 2008, school officials said.
