Local law firm to receive pro bono service honor
Minyard Morris, a Newport Beach law firm, will be honored this week for its service on behalf of disadvantaged clients, officials from the State Bar of California announced Tuesday.
The firm was named as one of seven recipients of the 2007 President’s Pro Bono Service Award, finishing first in the small law firm category. Minyard Morris, which has 15 lawyers in its office, has a history of providing service at the Public Law Center in Santa Ana, representing low-income residents in cases regarding child custody, domestic violence and more.
All the winners of the Pro Bono Service Award are set to be honored Friday at the 80th annual meeting of the State Bar at the Anaheim Marriott.
